Question
i have a 9 month old anertheristic corn snake and have had it for about 5 weeks. He is now eating fuzzies and is a good eater and is going through his second shed since i have had him. i got him out of his viv 2 days ago and noticed that he was sneezing he did this about 4 times while i had him out and i was quite surprised at how loud it was lol.  This is my first snake and i know that respiratory problems can be quite bad for the snake. There is no mucus and he seems quite happy in himself. he is a friendly snake and is still acting normally and ate 10 days ago with no problems I haven't fed him since due to him starting to shed. Please could you let me know if this is something to be worried about and do i need to take him to a vet. I am a veterinary nurse but we don't deal with reptiles all that often. The temperature in his viv is 85 in the hot end and 70 in the cool end. Many Thanks

Answer
Your cage temps are perfect. Even though there is no mucus discharge, I would still take the snake in to be seen by a good reptile vet. A respiratory infection can be fatal, but I think you have caught it early enough that it can be easily treated.

Good luck!
