Question
i have 2 snakes that bred and she has laid 6 eggs about a week ago. i have been looking online and in books for info as to HOW to take care of the hatchlings. One eggs is white and  the other 5 are pink. i am confused as to what temp the terrarium needs to be and the humidity as well. This is my first time with snakes AND hatchlings. I'm scared I am not caring for them properly. All eggs were laid exactly how I have desxribed them. Also, how can i tell if there is an actual hatchling inside the egg?

Answer
Any chance you could send me a picture of the eggs.  White is good!  Pink is weird!  I would remove the eggs from the cages and place them in barely wet vermiculite.  Place the vermic in a plastic container which has a sealing lid (for example a used butter tub).  When you move the eggs DO NOT change their orientation make sure up stays up! Once you have them in the container place it in a spot which stays above 78 degress but doesn't go above 88.  If you get/have an incubator set it for 88. Open the container once a week and lighty mist the eggs- LIGHTLY being the key word, and one or two more times per week to exchange the air in the tub-otehr than that leave it closed.

~60 days to hatch is the norm and once they hatch let them shed once before you try feeding.  Write me back if they hatch and I'll give you more details.
