mites in my gecko tank, maybe

Question
Hi, I was wondering if geckos get mites? I just noticed these little bugs in my tank, they look like baby crickets or something. They are not very small like a mite on a plant, but pretty small.Maybe a mm in length or so. Mostly they are brown but I think I saw a white one. I was wondering if there was any spray or something to get rid of them or if they were even mites. Thank you.

Jon

Answer
Hi Jon,
Doesn't sound like reptile mites due to size and color.  They do sound like a mite type thing that comes from grain though...(usually cricket cages/tanks is where they appear)...such as the grains used to feed the crickets.  If you have any type of loose substrate in the tank, remove it..discard it..
there is a product called "Reptile Relief" made by a company called "Natural Chemistry" The stuff is wonderful!!! The best part is it is 100% organic and very very safe..and it really kills the bugs.  Follow the package directions...  its available at many pet stores such as PetCo and Petsmart...You will have to treat everything in the tank..
As I said, it doesn't sound like reptile mites, but they do sound like the little mites that form in grains  that are used for feeding insects.
