Question
Hi, I just recieved the answer to a question I had asked you about green anole and house gecko eggs. Before I tried this website for the answer about the eggs and incubating them, I called a herp vet, and she told me the eggs would not be fertile. I thought the eggs were dead so I put them in a plastic bag, but i don't know for how long, maybe like 2-3 weeks. Can I still save them?

Answer
The only thing you can do is try. It is likely that they didn't survive if they were fertile but it wouldn't hurt to try would it? Just place them in moist sandy soil in a container don't turn them over and keep them around 85F and then if they hatch then congrats and if not then there wasn't any chance. Have they changed in color at all? To they look like they could be dead or do they still look fresh? Take a flashlight to them in a dark room and see if you can see anything that might be a developing lizard. I hope they make it. Good luck!
