QuestionWhat do Brown tree frogs eat when they are young? I found one siting on my porch last night and I'm planning on taking care of the little fella.(:
AnswerHi Brielle,
You will need to offer him live insects. Crickets are the staple diet of captive frogs but small mealworms and waxworms can also be offered, depending on the size of the frog. Choose crickets that are as long as the width of the frog's head, from eye to eye.
While you are at the pet store you should also pick up some dechlorinator from the fish section. This will neutralize the chlorine and chloramines in tap water that can be harmful to amphibians. Your frog should have access to a shallow dish of water at all times.
