Question
My leo is restless.  She (i think) is ~5 or 6 months old.  She was so tiny when we got her from the pet store, but has grown into a beautiful and healthy (from all observation) lizard.  Big fat tail, bright eyes, active and curious.  A couple weeks ago, she climbed a rock and escaped through a small crack between the screen and top of the tank.  I found her later that night, but ever since she's been so restless.  She's not attacking crickets like she used to, but still eats some and she still nabs superworms when I dangle them in front of her.  Tonight when I picked her up, she leaked a clear liquid, although it looked somewhat sticky? out of her vent.  She still looks bright, but I don't want this to escalate if there might be a real problem.  I appreciate your advice.

Answer
Hello Jen, it doesn't sound serious. When lizards escape (and Leos do this often) they do get really stressed and scared, frustrated and all together distraught. Just give her time to adjust and I'm sure everything is fine. She is still eating then that is good. Watch for non-eating, loss of tail weight, drooped eyes, and anything out of the ordinary. I'm sure she is ok but keep an eye on her. I hope its nothing serious and good luck with getting her back to normal and happy again.
