My female layed eggs

Question
QUESTION: I have a African fat tail that just layed eggs in her nesting box and I'm wanting to leave them with her i was wondering if I'm going to have to do anything special for them? I also wanted to know if I'm going to have to worry about the male messing or eating the eggs. I really don't want anything to happen to them. They will be the first eggs to hatch in my care.

ANSWER: Hi Krystal,
Eggs generally will not hatch when left in the tank due to the conditions in the tank.  Temperature changes, humidity, etc.  All these things need to be monitored very well to hatch eggs. Here is a link to what should be done to hatch the eggs...scroll down to the bottom of that page.http://www.kingsnake.com/africanfattail/gecko.htm
and also:

As to the male and the female both, if the eggs would happen to hatch in the tank, there is a good chance that  one or both would try to eat the babies...
She will also lay more eggs, a few weeks apart.  They generally will lay several clutches of 1-2 eggs each.

QUESTION: Hi i was wondering what should the humidity be in the nesting box. We have the humidity at 74 and the temperature at 89.4. I also have another question 3 or 4 day ago they both stopped eat and I'm not to sure why.

Answer
Your temperature may be a little high.  Re read the links I gave you earlier.  I would go for a bit lower temperature.
There really isn't a set humidity level.  Its based on having the soil the correct water to soil mix.
If they are acting normal, active, drinking, etc...then all is most likely fine.  If either are acting odd in any way, then a trip to the vet is needed as that with her, there may be a problem with an egg that did not come out or she may be very weak from laying eggs, especially if her calcium levels were not increased and if her insects were not properly gut loaded prior to feeding them to her. If you need more info on "gut loading" let me know.  If that's the case, she needs to get back to top health as she will be laying more eggs.  it is most likely best to separate the two of them to stop even more stress on both of them.
