Anoles eye

Question
I have two anole's, and my smaller of the two has a pink bump over his left eye and he can't open his eye either. It looks like he is only moving around the tank now by sound. Both anole's were small when I got them, so I keep them in a 10 gallon tank and I spray their tank with water twice a day. They have a big plant and a giant rock to climb on/in.
But I can't tell if my small anole just has a scratch or if something else is wrong with his eye, because he won't open either of his eyes. I've had them both for about a month, and my big anole has shed three times, but so far, my small anole with the bump has not shed at all. Their is significant difference in size to both of them, and my larger one is constantly showing dominance. Other than rubbing the bump lightly with warm cloth, I don't know what to do, and if I really do have to take him to the vet, I will. Is there anything else I should do before that?

Answer
Then you need to take him to the vet. There's not a debate here. You don't know what to do, and I can't tell you based on this shoddy background information. You didn't follow my directions and submit the proper husbandry background information, therefore all I can tell you is too see a vet and shell out.

I mean, I don't even know if you have a dang UVB lamp. This could be a combination of anything from MBD to an infection, even brought about by captive stress or a denial of resources by a dominant cage mate. Closed eyes is a symptom of illness, and will be fatal unless treated, because the Anole cannot catch his food without sight. Whatever put him in this condition is not going to just improve without some kind of treatment, which usually means systemic antibiotics that you are only going to get from a vet.

Sounds like you probably have other issues with your husbandry and may not have the proper equipment. If not, then you are going to continue to have problems. I can only assume that you don't have all the right equipment, because you did not note it as directed.
