sick frill dragon????

Question
We have had our frilled dragon about a year now and he has been in optimum health. Over a week ago he started to ignore his food; he wont chase crickets, wont eat any of his superworms, he will however eat a pinky which we tried 2 days ago. My concern is that he has not pooped and I am afraid he may have some kind of parasite or impaction. His coloring is good, he is able to lay on his stomach. He doesn't appear to be straining or twitching. He passed a small bit of poop, but not much at all (especially when it usually is like a small chihuahua). From our research I believe that we may need to get a new basking lamp, his temp has not exceeded 85 degrees during his basking hours. Do you think that may be why he seems so.... withdrawn or wont eat? What is your best advice?

Answer
Hello Erin,

Do you use UVB lighting, & if so, what type & brand do you use?  Is it a flourescent tube bulb or a compact or coil light?  What type of basking light do you use a bright white one or a colored one?
What type of thermometer are you using, a stick on thermometer, a digital probe or a temp gun?
The basking temps need to be 95-100 or so.  The humidity should be around 50-60%, at the highest.
What type of substrate are you using?
Are you using calcium supplementation?
If you are not using a UVB light & the temps are not proper, then he will not be able to absorb any calcium or vitamins & will become lethargic.  He could be hypocalcemic possibly.
If he is not eating much then his stools wont be very large either.
Can you post a picture of him?  Thanks.
How do his eyes look?
