Rescued Western Fence Lizard

Question
I rescued a Western Fence Lizard from one of my cats late this afternoon. As far as I can tell, the only injury it has is it lost its tale. Since it usually gets cold here at night, and it was already so late, I thought I'd bring it inside with me (it was surprisingly cooperative, probably due to shock from being attacked and played with). I want to release it back into our yard as soon as I can, tomorrow when it's warm enough, if possible, but I need to know what the best things to do for it are. I did a lot of Googling to see what info I could find, and one of the common recommendations was to NOT put any source of heat in whatever it's being kept in. My question is, should I stick with that, or would you suggest I do put some small heat source in there, just for the night?

Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Answer
Alexis,                                                                I am sorry it took so long to answer your question, but as I am sure you probably have just letting it go is fine. Don't worry about his health they are very resilient little buggers and his tail will grow back. Tina
