That would depend on the species and age of your anole.  If yours is a baby, there is really nothing to tell, but at sexual maturity there will be different ways to tell depending on what you have.  Some will have brightly colored body parts, or larger heads, pronounced femoral pores if male.  Female tend to remain plain.
