Discolored fire skink

Question
I just got a fire skink yesterday. It doesn't even look like a fire skink. It
has one long red stripe on both sides of its belly. The top of it is kind of a
bronze color. It also has black scales that look like it was hurt. It also has a
white under belly and no black and white stripes under its chin. It also has a
very skinny tail and I thought it was supposed to be fat. It eats fine and can
run super fast. Im just worried about the color. Is anything wrong with it or is

Jeremy, that is a tough one.  A. because I am not that familiar w/ fire skinks and B. because you didn't send a pic.  COuld your's be a female?  The female usually aren't as colorful.  It sounds like you got this delivered rather than hand-picking it.  Have you contacted the person you ordered it from?  Also, "fire-skink" may be a generic term for any skink with red on it, so who knows which species you actually got.
