Crested Gecko with back problem

Question
I have about a year old male Crested Gecko. Towards the rear legs his back bows out very sharply it doesn't seem to be hurting him but im worried about it could this just be a bone defect that i can fix. He started out in a 20 Gallon high and then i moved him to an Exoterra 12"X12"X18". He seemed to stop growing as much but seemed to start to eat more baby food i use either apricot or Hawiaan delight.  He seem to not be hurt but im not sure. I was wondering if i put him back in the 20 high if he will grow out of the problem? do you know what could have caused this? he has jumped out of my hand but onto a carpet floor. Please let me know as soon as possible.

Answer
Hi Brandy,

crested geckos are the best(my opinion lol)they have many great charictoristics and are easy to care for to the point where they rival leopards a s great begginer reptiles, actually thought to be extinct until rediscovered in 94.(in new caladonea)now for the back Some traits are linked with others, and can produce deformities. ... It is usually prominent between the lateral rows on the geckos back, these are genitic related and there is know fix for it if it is a genitic trait. if you are sure that there was no injury due to a fall or sudden jump from your hands then this may be the case with your crested if you can take a pic and send it to me at xmstuff@optonline.net that would most helpful in identifing the problem.

thanks for the? please get back to me .
