Question
I recently upsized her tank to one that is 36"x18"x18" and also increased the wattage on the bulb for the "hot side" of the tank. I increased the bulb when I noticed that the tank wasnt getting over 94 degrees, and I know the temp should range from 110-120. I have been checking the temp constantly for a while and noticed that it is now peaking at about 123, which is the highest in like an hour of the light being on. My question is whether or not that is to high. The opposite side of the tank is much cooler, around 80-85. I'm really not sure if that much heat is safe even for a uromastyx so I just thought that I should find out. Your response will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hello Arron,

Great that you increased the temps.  The recommended basking temps are 120-130 really.  Do you measure it with a digital probe or a temp gun?  The opposite side of 80-85.  Those temps are fine.
