ball python has mucous in mouth and pale eyes

Question
My ball python just began to show signs of heavy breathing and thick clear mucous in his mouth. He is not listless and still very active. I was wondering if I need to try to raise his tank temperature if that would help or just get him to a vet. Thanks!

Answer
Try the temp thing but if you don't notice marked improvement within 24 hours call a vet. Antibiotics might be needed.  For Pythons I use and recommend Amikacin (sic).  You may have trouble finding a vet over the next couple of days so you might want to place a call today...
