hi i contact you about my guniea pig tigerlillie a couple of monyhs ago when she would not eat and had been taken to the vet surgery many times in which they cut down her teeth.after months of treatment tigerlillie as started to eat again by her self and has put lots of weight back on she is very active and comes in and out of her cage by her self to run around the room lots. this week whilst cleaning her out i noticed a few large patches of red sawdust which looked very much liked blood i am just concrerned on what this could be or is it normal it seems a shame to take her back to the vets when she is doing so well. caroline

I am so glad to hear tigerlillie is doing better with her eating.

Regarding the bleeding, if it is coming from inside, it does need swift vetinary treatment. Have you examined her to check if she has any cuts or scrapes on her, or have you cut her nails recently? Sometimes we can cut too much and cause the nail to bleed.

I am worried because you said that it was large patches, so my best advice would be to get her checked because if it is internal bleeding it will need attention.
