Oh no she died! Poor, poor baby.

Dear Andy,

I asked you a question about my sheltie guinea pig a few days ago, well yesterday she started breathing strangely, like she had something in her lungs, it was my moms birthday so she couldnt go to the vet becuase we had company at out house. We got her on tuesday, so we called the pet store and the manager said we needed to take her to the vet in the morning and that she should be fine over night, (We put the phone up to my poor sophie so that the lady could hear her.) I woke up at 1AM and my guinea was in even worse condition then this morning when me and my little brother got out of bed she was dead! We told my mom and we read the rainbow bridge poem, but we dont know what was wrong with her? Do you have a clue? I gave her a bath a few days before? Could I have killed my baby? If I did I feel awful... im only 11 almost 12... today we got two new ones, the americans, they are very healthy.. but we also think the sheltie could have been sick when we first got her, becuase she barely moved, or talked.

Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss. I dont remember your previous question as i get so many.

I think you are right, the pig was sick when you got her. Unless you put her outside while she was still wet after the bath I very much doubt she died for bathing her.

I hope the rainbow bridge poem made you feel better. It seems like she had a respiratory infection when you bought her. I am so glad you got 2 new pigs. Good luck.
