is it true that carefresh and aspen bedding is the best for hamsters??
well i have carefresh.
but isnt made out of paper??
why is it good anyway???

Hi,
Well, a lot of people say that fluffy bedding should be avoided as it does not dissolve in the hamster's stomach is swallowed, and can get wrapped round limbs or even necks.
However, this has not happened to anyone I know of, and I use fluffy bedding myself.
Paper bedding is supposed to be best as it is easy to rip if the hamster gets caught in it and it disintegrated in his stomach, although newspaper should be avoided as hamsters do not take kindly to having ink in their stomachs.
