Long haired Teddy Bear Hamster

How can you tell the difference between a boy and girl hamster. My daughter
who is almost 8 wants to know.  Her brother has a girl hamster named Theo.

Hi Caterina,

Luckily, it's pretty easy to tell the difference between a male and female Syrian (aka Teddy Bear).  A male hamster will have large testicles just underneath his tail.  Here's a link to an illustration that should additionally help you:
