my grebil

hi i had four gerbils 2 of each sex after 2 litters i split them up that was 2 years ago today 1 of the boys had to be put to sleep he had a tumor tonight the male i have left has been searching the cage and is now squeaking all the time  even in his sleep it is hard to watch is there any thing i can do please get back to me ASAP please

Hello,

It is always hard when one gerbil dies as the other can become lonely. It is also hard to know what to do, and the best thing i can suggest is to clean his cage thoroughly (so the scent of the cage mate is no longer there) and to give him as much attention as you can! Also, try and give him plenty of things to do, new toys etc.

Other than the above there is really not much more you can do, i know it is had to see but hopefully he will be okay!!
