Camera Flashes

Hi Shawntiah,
I was wondering if camera flashes hurt gerbils and hamsters eyes. If so, how much harm can they do?

Hello Sarah,
the camera flashes don't do any damage to their eyes, but it can kinda confuse them for a little bit. I've taken pictures of my albino hamster and he had no problems with him. I have about 10 pictures of him as a matter of fact. They don't do any harm really, but the thing is just like how humans can see spots after a flash the hamsters and gerbils can probably see them as well. :)
