hamster acting psycho

We have had a baby hamster for about a week. For the first 4 days, it was very cuddly and calm. Now it is running from us and squeaking. He acts terrified and I swear we haven't done anything awful to him! Any ideas? Thank you.

thank you for your question.
This is probably normal behaviour. Young hamsters go through a phase when they are very active, run and jump unexpectedly ect. This lasts for a few weeks, then they get calmer again.
It might be that your hamster has hurt itself, though, and squeaks because it is in pain, so check for any injuries.
