syrian hamster testicle swelling

hi there,
i was wondering if you can help. I have a male Syrian hamster who is around 14 weeks old.he used to be a very active hamster as soon as he heard me near the cage would run to the door and try and come out, loved running in his wheel. Then i noticed about 2 weeks ago as he went to go down his tube at the bottom end under his big but there were these 2 pink lumps that were hanging down. then later they had disappeared. they always come and go but they are rather large and do stick out allot. I have tried touching them and seem to cause him no pain. Also he has become very lazy, sleeps all day only gets up to drink , eat and pee. i have tried everything putting him in him ball letting him run, playing with him-all he does is just stand there. Hes still very tame but i don't know if something is wrong with him or this is normal.

He has a cage with a atube connecting another level, a large wheel, some ledges to climb, a tunnel and a playpen. I also have an external playpen filled with toys for him to play with and a large exercise ball.

Don't worry, your hamster is perfectly healthy. They just have huge testicles, simply enormous in relation to their size. The swelling can be caused by hot weather (it cools them down to be kept outside the body), but it's definitely normal that they change their size a bit all the time.
