Question
One of my dwarf hamster's just had babies. Today I went and checked on them and the mom was gone. The babies are old a couple days old. Is there anyway I can feed them???

Answer
Hi Jericha,

Without Mom and the babies only being 2 days old, their chance of surviving slim to none.
The babies will have to be fed 2 drops of kitten replacement milk with an eye dropper every hour. After every feeding you will need to stimulate each baby by gently rubbing their tummy and working downward towards their bottom. This is to help them relieve themselves, as they are to young to do it themselves. If/when the babies start to eat on their own, which is when they are about 10-12 days old, you can start giving them the 2 drops of milk every 3 hours instead every hour. The babies can not hold their body heat so it is best to place a heating pad on the lowest setting under the part of the cage where they sleep. Also put some cotton balls around the nest (this will also help keep them warm).
