Medical Test please

Yesterday after I took out my young syrian hamster from the cage around 7pm and then it happened something weird.. My Hammy is ok but I still wonder what happened.. I was playing with him and everything, he is very energetic and moving all the time (when he is not sleeping) but I then he kept still doing nothing.. just there sitting and breathing.. which seemed very very weird to me, and even though I touched him he didn't attempt to run (he always does that) he really didn't wanna move.. and he was like this not just for a while, he stayed like this for about 5 minutes..I mean that's a lot.. I wonder if he was feeling bad or if he was constipated or something...I don't know... can you tell me what happened?

this does sound a bit strange, but sometimes hamsters do almost go into a trance-like state, but usually it is for less than a minute and no matter what you do/say they don't seem to know you are there.

Apart from this is everything else OK?  Is he walking all right - not lopsided, dragging a leg or anything?  Is he eating/drinking/peeing and pooing normally?  If there is nothing apparently wrong, then this was probably just one of those unexplained incidents that will probably never happen again.  If there are other symptoms or if this keeps happening then it might be worth getting him checked out.
