rat terrier breeding

my rat terrier just started to bleed. we want to breed her with another rat terrier but we don`t know if we are too late, should breed her now or if we should wait until she stops bleeding.

How many days has she been bleeding? Count the first day as day one. Most people breed their dogs on day 12 or day 14 of the heat cycle. It really depends on the female though. If she's ready earlier than this, or later, then she and the stud dog will let you know. Watch for her bleeding to slow down some, and to lighten in color. Her vulva may become softer as well.
