QUESTION: My jack russell terrier of 5yrs had 4 healthy pups all before 10am. she has just had another at 5pm and contractions still coming!! Normal or Panic??

No need to panic JRT are tough little guys, and some pups need a little extra time.  

If she's having contractions it may not be another pup but the afterbirth.    You should account for all the placenta's and afterbirth.

QUESTION: After whelping all went well I have noticed that my JRT is thinning in her coat. Not bald patches but thinning of the hair. I have used fronline for many years now and don't think it could be that.

It's very common for a dam after whelping and nursing to lose her entire coat .... and I mean right down to the skin.

Fish oil, vitamins and a extra scoop of food will help get her coat back in shape...but it can take a few months.
