did my dog miscarry

my dog is on day 20 in her pregnancy she was bleeding dark blood yesterday not a ton just spoting.I'm wondering if it's possible she is still pregnant or does all bleeding mean a miscarriage. I didn't see any mucus or anything that looked like embryos.There is no bleeding today.

Hi Laura. Any colored discharge before the birth of the first puppy is something to be concerned about. The best advice that I can give you would be to take her to the vet and see what's going on with her, just to be on the safe side. I hope that everything is ok with her.
