Chihuahua still spotting after welping

I have a Chihuahua that is still spotting blood every once in awhile. The puppies have been gone for about 4 weeks. She was bleeding the whole time that she was nursing but once they stopped. She stopped bleeding but every once in awhile she spots. Nothing major but I never know when she is going to do it and it gets on everything. The blood is a dark thick mucus looking. The Vet checked her out after the litter was born an he said everything looked good.Can someone help.

Hi Kim. I would take her to a different vet if the one you're using now thinks this is normal. I don't think that this is a normal thing for a dog to be bleeding this long. It concerns me, and I seriously suggest that you take her to the vet to figure out what's going on here. I don't want to scare you, but I really don't think that this is right. It may be something little, but still needs vet attention. I hope that everything is ok with her.
