Question
Hello! I have a two Parson Russell Terriers, one of which I plan to breed to a
stud (I still have yet to find that stud). I was wondering which supplies I will
need for the WHOLE process, including mating, pregnancy, whelping,
EVERYTHING. I understand that the response may be too big to fit in a letter,
but do you know of any sites that could point me in the right direction? Also,
I am having trouble finding a good vet in my area, Portland, OR, so do you
know of any websites that could help me look for one? Or do you know one?
Sorry for my long letter, it must be rather tiresome:) Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hi Astrid. During the actual mating process, you won't need much. A good leash and collar, and some water. You will also want to write down when the dogs were bred, and how many times. You will also want to write down if anything out of the ordinary happened during the mating so you'll know what to expect if it happens again. As for whelping supplies during whelping, I'm going to give you two web sites. One has some links for what you're wanting, the other has a list on it's page. As for the vet, I'm really not sure. You may be able to do a search and see what you find that way. Do a search for "vet in Portland, OR". I did one, and a few things came up, but I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for.
