free mating vs. 2 or 3 ties

Your thoughts on outcome of free mating.  I've allowed that this time based on vet advice and now am on now 68 and no labor.  2 previous litters been more timely.  advice on how long to let her go.

Hi Tammie. I personally will only allow my dogs to breed twice, with me being there. I don't like 'free mating', because you could end up with way too many due dates, premature puppies, ect. I would be taking her into the vet to see what's going on here. If she was allowed to free mate, do you have a specific due date, or dates? I would atleast be having an x-ray done. One more tip, vets don't always give the best advice about breeding. Most vets honestly don't know a whole lot about it. Go with your gut instinct. If you're not for sure, seek a different opinion.
