Puppy movement

I have a cocker, this is her second litter since we got her, my husband found her abandoned and brougt her home to me.  Her first litter all but 2 died, my question is how long after you feel movement will she go into labor?

Hi Marie. It honestly depends on the dog. It depends on how many puppies she's having, how big they are as to when you'll feel them. It's different for every dog. How far along is she? About 24-48 hours before a dog goes into labor, she'll loose her mucus plug. It's this clearish, stringie discharge. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a better answer, but it really is hard to say for sure. Each dog and litter is different.
