Chi-Nauzer pups Our schnauzer had 5 pups on August 23rd. She stopped feeding them when they were two days old. We have been bottle feeding them since and I am just curious as to when we should start trying to introduce them to regular puppy food, and if we should soften the food up with puppy formula or water... Thanks!

You can introduce them to a good quality canned or rolled food any time.

Milk is to hard for the pups to digest and can cause diarrhea which in turn will cause dehydration. You can use goats milk or soy to soften up kibble.

Start will small amounts and as they learn to eat, introduce the kibble. Give them small amounts of water in a shallow bowl, you want to make sure they can't drowned in it.
