Question
The second digit on my dogs left paw is possibly jammed.Someone said his nail may have broken inside his paw,I didn't know they went in that far.He limps and favors that paw but let him outside and he runs and plays normal, comes in and limps again. What do you think?
                        Thanks,
                         Chris

Answer
Hi Chris,

I don't know about breaking the nail inside, but it could be a broken bone, or a chiropractic subluxation of the digit, too.  He runs and plays 'cause he forgets about it - running and playing is "more important" than limping.  Back inside, it just hurts, so he limps.

I think I'd stick with the vet on this one, till he says there's "nothing wrong."  THEN check out your friendly neighborhood animal chiropractor.  Good luck!
