red bump

I'm not sure if you can help me with this question but I really need help.  I have an eleven year old chow-boxer mix who has recently developed a red bump on his butt, and it keeps increasing in size.  Do you have any clue what is wrong with him and what do I need to do?

Since it is growing in size, it should deffinately be checked.
I could be a number of things.
The first things that come to my mide are a tumor( which may or may not be cancerous), and enlarged anal glands.
Both of those things could l;ead to disaster.
As our dogs age, the come up with all the old age things we humans suffer from too.
tumors are no at all uncommon, but anything growing in size should by seen by a Veterinarian right away.
