Question
my cocker is limping & holding up his front right leg when he walks.  I have rubbed all over it and he does not wimper.  What could be wrong & how can I help him?

Answer
Katbie,  Even if your dog is in pain, he wont always show it. Here are some reasons for limping:

A nail that got caught and is partially pulled out from the toe.

A strained leg from playing or twisting it while running

A strained toe  same as above

A pad that has been sliced or has a foreign article in it.

A burr or foreign article between the pads that is sticking into the soft skin.

A knot between the pads that is putting pressure on the foot.

Check to see,  If his nails are long i would vote on the first reason
