Question
i have an english bulldog about 1 years old she chews everything in site she has eatin all my older bros girlfriends shoes and 2 pairs of glasses SHE HAS DONE OVER $2000 in damage how do i get her to stop chewing everything also she wont stop pooping inside on this one part of the stairs.

Answer
It sounds to me like this dog has too much (unmonitored) freedom, and since everyone there should know by now that this dog likes to chew, it seems to me that people should be putting things they don't want to lose up high out of this dog's reach. The dog should be crated when it cannot be watched.

Chewing is a stress-reliever for dogs, so this dog needs to be given appropriate items to chew.... large knuckle bones, Kong toys filled with treats, etc. There are tons of chewable things out there for dogs.

As to the pooping, the "unmonitored freedom" thing and crating applies here also. Make a journal of the dog's potty times, and get her outside at the appropriate times and make sure that she has eliminated before giving her some free house time. There are also (swinging) babygates that can be put on the stairs to prevent the dog from having access to her favorite pooping spot, yet people can come and go easily.
