blood in puppy poop

i was just wondering if u would know of anything he may have ate or something he only pooped diherria once with a tiny bit of blood in it but he stood there for about 5minutes the first time going poop and then he wanted right back out and thats when he pooped blood a small amount tho if you could help me out that would be greatly appriciated thanx

While I don't normally answer medical question,this one I can answer

If the blood is bright red,it's nothing to worry about,and is usually caused by the dog's rectum being a bit irritated

However if it is dark blood(almost brown as opposed to red)then that is more serious,as that could mean internal bleeding and will need to see a vet
