Breeding my Daschund

My female daschund is having her first season.  We have a male as well and want to know if she is to young to mate and should we keep them apart.

No, she is too young.  Wait til her 2nd or 3rd at least.  It would be too much of a strain on her.  She is a pup herself til she is 1 and a half anyway. You will need to keep them apart.  remember the heat is for 21 days and she will still be receptive after the bleeding.
