Question
Hi I have a dog that constantly pulls me when I walk him. I feel if I walked him more often he would not pull but it becomes hard and trying when we walk because he pulls me so that makes me not walk him. He weighs about 45 LBS and I am sore after. I have tried the treats and turning everytime he pulls but when we are outside on the leash he could care less about the treats.  The same treats of which he just can't get enough of inside the house. He is a very good dog but how can I stop the pulling? Thank you,
gail

Answer
Get a halti. They are amazing and work wonders. Make sure it fits properly and that you have put it on correctly. Give him time to get used to it and then power walk him at heel. Get him in an obedience class also if possible.
Try also playing with him pretty hard for awhile prior to walking. Throw a ball, or whatever will make him run. Walk him EVERY day. The halti will win for you :)
