Question
I am going on a long road trip with my 5 month old husky/malamute mix. The vet said we could give him half a childrens dose of benadryl to calm him down. We tested it and it just made him more hyper. We want to try Nyquill but we want to be sure that it won't harm him?

Answer
I see no need in using anything..if however you are dead set on gving him something if he is that hyper you can give him one Graval or Gravel I don't know how to spell it it is over the counter for relife of feeling heartsick and vomiting and carsickness in people. Nyquill could kill your dog...Benadryl is often given for dogs with allergies the gravel for carsickness but that is never even mentioned by a vet it can be very toxic,.
