Temperature

Hi Cindi,
I could not follow up on the last question- - as it said I had too many follow ups! :o).  I was wondering what is a the normal temp range.. since I am taking her temp twice a day now- until her next surgery date. Since Minne Belle has been on the antibiotics - her temp has dropped to 99.1... which made me think that 102.2 must have been "fever". ? So what is the normal temperature range- so that I will know if she having a problem - over the weekend?

100.5-102.5 is considered normal, but it varies for some dogs. My dogs usually hang around 100-101 and I really start paying attention at 102. Typical advice is to call your vet if it goes up to 103, but I personally feel my dogs have a 'fever' if they get up to 102.
