hi my dog is in labor her temp is now at 100.2 it was at 99.2 yesterday all day i am using a digital thermometer is that the same or can it be used as the same i have never done this before i am very nervous can you please help me thank you so much april

Digital thermometers work just fine for dogs, but if your bitch is now in labor, you don't need it anymore. Taking temps is just a helpful aid to determine when a bitch *might* go into labor before it actually starts.

Call your stud dog's owner if you need quick advice. He/she should be willing to help you.... maybe even come over and help you a bit. And keep your veterinarian's number handy if you think you might really be having a problem. The volunteers here aren't always available in a timely fashion.

Good luck! And relax with a good book next to your bitch*G*... whelping puppies can sometimes take awhile.
