is my dog in labor?

My dogs temp keeps going from 100.4 - 98.7 is she in labor..... I started taking her temp 4 times daily yesterday... and it keeps going up and down? Is she in labor or do I have a few days?

Perhaps your dog has already had her litter! When you really need to know something important, you should call your veterinarian rather than waiting for a response from an internet help line.

A drop in temperature usually means the dog will have her puppies within 24 hours, but that's not cast in stone. Some dogs do not have the drop in temperature.
