Question
I have a 3 and a half year old part golden and part rotweiller. She weighs 120lbs. My question is that my roommate left half a low milligram darvasate pill on his table and now can't find it. He claims it was there last night. If my dog got ahold of this pill is it considered toxic. I have not seen anything abnormal happening to her so far today so I was wondering if this could harm her. i tried calling pet poison control and they wanted 55.00 to answer my question which i do not have. Anyway thanks for your help.

Answer
Debi, call the vet. They will not charge you to answer this question. Darvocet is toxic to dogs, and usually the dog is made to vomit if it's known he's ingested Darvocet, but you NEED to call your vet ASAP.

Also tell your roommate not to leave medicine of ANY kind laying out. ANYwhere.
