Dog peeing on carpet

Question
I have a mix of chihuaha and min pin, Addison is almost 3years old and honestly a very good dog. The only problem I've had with her has been mostly in the last 2 days. I had the upstairs carpets cleaned because she had previously peed on them when I first moved in. With in hours of taking the gate off the stairs without even telling me she had to go outside she peed on the hallway carpet. Last night I woke up at 230am and caught her peeing on the rug by the shower. Tonight, literally 20 mins ago she peed in my bedroom. I don't know why. I've taken her out every 2-3hrs since 7am today and she hasn't drank that much water. I know she's been on antibotics the last week and my schedule at work changed from mids to dayshift but that's been an ongoing thing since she was a puppy. I will admit, I did the old school route and brought her to the piddle and told her "No" and "Bad girl" And she went downstairs, tonight I was so frustrated I was actually crying. I don't know what else to do and I feel bad discplining her. I already made up with her and she's running around playing with her toys.

Answer
Steph, have you spoken to your vet to see if the antibiotics might be causing her to have this problem? Why is she on antibiotics in the first place?

Her behavior almost sounds like marking behavior, but it's hard to say for certain.

I think the main problem is that she has never fully grasped the idea of going outside to potty. I would start at square one and treat her like a brand new puppy that has never been housebroken. I'm no longer answering housetraining questions, but if you will go to http://housetraining.angelfire.com I have compiled all my suggestions onto one page that should help you.
