My dog sheds alot

Question
We own a Husky/Akita mix dog.  We love her dearly. She is 5 years old. She is shedding constantly. We understand that this dog is the type of dog that does shed all year round. But we were wondering of there is something more that we can do besides brush her 3 times a day and we give her baths about twice a month. Can you please give us some soulutions so that we can minimize the hair loss?

Hi, I don't know if you live in cold country or warm,  if it is cold country, there is a pill and a dog supplement that I have seen in Petsmart that inhibits shedding.  However, if you have this dog in a climate that is warm, then I would tell you to shave the dog to a quarter of an inch.  It is not true that this is not good for them.  This type of dog will drag himself into the groom shop and after the shave, he will trot out very cool and happy
