My beautiful american bulldog allergies?

My American Bull Dog was Bought in Northern California we had grass and concrete. Were moved to Southern California in the High Desert and she has a very red snout and red eyes and scratches her face a lot. I was told to give her Benedryl but every time she is outside she gets itchy again. Is it the dirt and should I keep her inside more. She is potty trained. However, she like to go out side.

Poor dog! Benedryl only masks the problem and it could be many things, definitely wipe her down when she comes back in.

I suggest finding a vet that specializes in allergies and sadly you will see a white bully dog convention in their waiting room. They are particularly prone to allergies.

Ask for a scratch test so you can more accurately deal with whatever it is that causing her allergies.

My Black Malinois also has allergies, her are air borne, worst in fall.
