Brindle Shih Tzu

Hi Nancy,

I would like to ask what is a brindle shih tzu (shih tzu expert I think is sick).  How can I tell if a shih tzu is brindle?

I have a male shih tzu 5 months old.  He used to be mostly black in a tuxedo pattern (white chest).  When he was little, he has some gold and white hair but these are mostly short (sort of like undercoat).  However, as he grows, the gold and white hair seems to grow much faster.  His legs and top of his head is now a mix of black, white and gold and this seems to be happening with his whole body.

Is he a brindle?

Well Elmer they say a picture is worth a thousand words so here is a picture of a brindle shih tzu
 whoa that was too long,,,, go to google images and type in brindle shih tzu and you will get all different kinds of brindle shih tzu....
I tried to send the link but it was half a page long...  I found some pictures here, but if you go to the image spot there are two when scrolling down that I think may look like your dog.
