training a husky not to run off

am getting a 2year old husky nxt wednesday my friend who has her says wen she,s let off her leader she runs off how do i stop that?

Answer
You have two choices, the way I see it.

1.  You keep the dog on lead so that she CAN'T run off.

2.  You do some serious training to teach her to reliably respond to you when she's off lead.  This is no easy task and takes a long time and a lot of patience.

A responsible dog owner will not let their dog off lead if they have no control over it; this is a good way for a dog to get hit by a car.
